Gorkha Municipality has completed reconstruction of housing related interaction programme. The presidency of the programme was carried out by Mayor, Rajan Raj Panta. Also other presenties were Deputy mayor, Bina Shrestha, CAO Pradip Raj Adhikari, ward presidents and secreteries.

Awareness programme against drug abuse has been organised at gorkha municipality. With different pamplets and slogans, the rally took its pace from jibisa chowk to different wards of municipality and again back to district administrative office (DAO) and was terminated there.

Gorkha Municipality has started a training for elected representatives as well as ward secretaries in order to enrich them with knowledge about the smooth and proper functioning of local government.
