Gorkha Municipality has celebrated 108th women's day dated at 8th march, 2018. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. The program duly took place at Gorkha Boarding School with the presidency of Bina Kumari Shrestha, deputy mayor of gorkha municipality. Chief Guest Ashok Kumar Gurung, chairman of District Coordination Committee; Jitendra Basnet, CDO of gorkha; Guest of the program Rajan Raj Panta, Mayor of Gorkha Municipality; Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Vice-chairman of Gorkha Chamber of Commerce and Industries had their say. With the presence of different student wing of political parties, community development groups, press and other local individuals, approximately 250 individuals were present at the program.
